The Biggest Influence in my Life

This is my grandpa...he raised me...I have 3 pictures of him, all black and white, this is my favorite...

This is for the "You in 52" Challenge on Debbie Dare and a random Challenge with the Sassy Blinging Babes....

This LO was extremely hard on me, but I am so happy I did it, I love the way it turned out..

For the SSB challenge the requirements were:

Use a Sketch

Use a Title..monochromatic for additioal points

Use a calendar page..I couldn't find anything I liked for this, so I typed something up on Word Dry embossing (more circles on my flowers)

For "you in 52" it's a LO about my "greatest Influence in Life"

The Journaling reads:

My Greatest Influence easily was my grandfather. He took on the responsibility of raising me, and I adored him.

He was born in Bournie Texas in February of 1896, and migrated with his family to Arizona in a wagon.

In his younger years, he was a Trick Rider and Shooter in a Medicine Show. He fought in WW1, and was stationed in both Siberia and China. Later he worked underground in the Copper Mines in Arizona. He retired somewhere around the time I was born, and became a care taker on a cattle ranchi in the Arizona Mountains, where I grew up.

I don't think there was anything he couldn't do, and he taught me everything he knew. We were together all the time.

He made sure I learned to Cook and sew and be a girl, because I was very much a tomboy.

He saw to it that I went to Church and knew the Lord, even though he wasn't much of a Chruch going man.

What ever Morals and Values I have, I owe to him!

I have lost my way in life many times, but my Grandpa's teachings have always brought me back.

Though short in stature, he was a giant among men, and will always be the biggest and best man I'll ever know.

He passed away in January 1979, just short of my 19th birthday.

I still miss him everyday! TFL!
